The Best College Practices in Financial Literacy

Send us your story!

The best submissions will be published!

We are putting together a guide for the best financial literacy practices at colleges today, and want to know what your school is doing to promote financial literacy (the actual ‘query’ is below). Once we compile the best practices and ideas, we will publish a guide which we will be distributed to schools and other organizations nationwide.

Best Financial Literacy Tactics for 2012

We are putting together a guide to detail the most effective financial literacy practices being used at colleges today and would really appreciate your input.

  • Have you put something in place recently that you are testing out?
  • Are you doing something at your school which has received good feedback or results?
  • Has improved financial literacy yielded positive results at your school?

Whether it is a web-based program, an on-campus class, a student-led task force etc, we want to hear from you!

Please send us a brief statement of what you are doing and/or the results you have seen. It can be as short as 2-3 sentences, or a little more in-depth. The best responses will be published in the guide and distributed to all colleges throughout the country. If your response is selected, you will be given the opportunity to review and approve the wording before publication.

The deadline for responses is Friday, March 2nd.

Mission

The goal of the project is threefold:

  • Provide a variety of financial literacy ideas for schools wishing to launch or enhance their own financial literacy campaigns,
  • Honor the schools which have demonstrated a dedication to improving financial literacy education,
  • We hope that highlighting the proactive efforts of these schools will encourage other schools to place more emphasis on enhancing their own programs.
